Dr. John A. McKinney Christian Academy

The Dr. John A. McKinney Christian Academy, a private institution of excellence will offer each child personalized attention in a loving and nurturing environment. In this

A Beka Curriculum facility, students will utilize state-of-the-art equipment with creative activities that will prepare them for the challenges of life. We service children Kindergarten thru Sixth Grade.

With the enactment of the federal No Child Left Behind Act, unfortunately, contrary to its name, many children are being left behind in our public schools. Education has become more and more business-like in its operations at the expense of our children, leaving many with no place to turn. As continuously taught by Dr. Victor T. Curry, the church is an organism; it’s alive, spiritual in its beginning and must be spiritual in its operation. The New Birth Baptist Church Cathedral of Faith International takes on yet another venture to serve and meet the needs of the community. On August 16, 2004, history was made when the doors opened to the Dr. John A. McKinney Christian Academy.

Dr. John A. McKinney Christian Academy is dedicated to maintaining the highest level of scholastic standards. We are fully committed to encourage every student to strive to attain excellence. We deem it to be imperative that our curricula incorporate a program, which emphasizes ethnic pride, academic excellence, and Christian values. The curriculum embraces the concept of developmentally appropriate education and evaluation.

Dr. John A. McKinney Christian Academy commits to educate and develop the total child by:

• Fostering a nurturing learning environment

• Setting high academic expectations

• Providing quality teachers

• Facilitating parent/family involvement
